Yes, I thought it was 7/8 I just put the 3.5/4 there as a little joke. I hope to continue the saga over the weekend.

A slight reworking of Facination, splitting it up differently and making it simpler.

Fascination
The cycle repeated
As a new world succumbed
To the wrath of the metal
And the developed mind
Destroying themselves
Then be their creation's slaves
They fought to destroy it
And fought for its control
Leaving the scars of war
Amongst our planets, dormant
It roamed through space
It sat in the ground
But still it waited
Waited to be found
It was slowly unveiled
Year after year
And a well kept secret
From all their peers
Government's hid something

And it seems to me
We consumed ourselves
In a war without the beast
But it called forth
To the enemy's fool
To pursue our nightmare
And so he became a pawn
In the war on Earth
Where the beast rose again
In hands of evil
But taken when they fell
By good and greater evil's still

Fascination

And we kept it a secret
As the theories emerged
Crash sites, bases, races to space
Lies! For the monster calls
And the hunt went on
For waiting nightmares

A reworking of hte War That No One Knew. Did away with some vereses, changed the chorus, and set it up for the Next Evolution.

Never did we think of the possibilities
So we drowned ourselves in curiosity
Do we fight our foes with terror
For are we men or servants to science

Can we use these weapons wisely
Can we hide them amongst the stars
Are we going in for more

One side hid on our neighbor in space
While the other spread far and wide
Pushing the eagle off its nest
For the pursuit of more of the beast
But greater evils lay in hiding

Flee to the war god
Where once glorious nations roamed
Giant machines for planetary war
While an new war settles in
To control the fury of the beast

(Chorus)
Through the astral fields
Where a beast of burden
And steel cries out
Beyond the minds of loyal people
Through the limits of our thoughts
A war that no one knew raged
To repeat a cycle, to be stopped
The fates align beyond the stars
To see children of the fallen
Rise again to tame a monster
In a war that no one knew

Travel to the Goddess of beauty
With lore and history concerning pain
Fight for long forgotten relics of weapons great
All to say their move in checkmate
And a traitor is born

And we go to the land of ice
As we lose our relic on the land of fire
Covertness to obtain the weapon
Now unleashed upon us
To be unleashed upon its creator

(Chorus)

Another side loses to the man in metal
Through defeat forces join
But tensions remain at home
Yet the weapons remain as a threat
To now all sides

Follow the beasts to a new land of green
Behind a giant of blue
To destroy the hunger in the machine
But destruction of one results of the destruction of many
But through faith there are now not any

(Chorus)

A world destroyed becomes tamed
As brilliance turns to madness
He is a man who will be famed
He will lead to a nation’s sadness

Evil always looms, always

As a musician... I find sheet music horrible to write in.

Writing it in a program that plays it as your write it might be easier than doing it otherwise. Anyone know of a free program that might do that?

Most guitar tab editors do, but they're generally terrible to use as well.
