I changed the rez to something else and now it says frequenzy out of range the rez was at 800x600 before I changed it, the thing is I cant go in game cuz their will be no screen so can anyone help me.

I think you may have changed your refresh rate above the maximum your monitor supports.

If you're using 1.3.6.1 (and you should!), there's a start menu shortcut created to start BZ2 in safe mode. Run it once, and it'll reset your graphics preferences to safe defaults. Then you can re-run BZ2 again. 1.3ta5 and up all have the "/safemode" commandline parameter, but you'll have to create a shortcut and put that on it.

Pre-1.3ta5, it's time to delete the userprefs and pilots folder to reset resolution.
